In 1985, the Economic and Trade Joint Committee was set up between China and Thailand.
Since the establishment of Sino-Thai diplomatic relations, both sides signed the following agreements:
1. Shipping Agreement and Two Supplementary Protocols were signed in 1979.
2. Air Transport Agreement and Certificate with Full Authority to the Other Party in 1980,
3. Agreement on Investment Promotion and Protection in 1985.
4. Agreement on Avoidance of Double Taxation and Prevention of Evading Tax-Payment in 1986.
5. MOU on Cooperation in Trade, Economy and Technology in 1997.
6. Agreement on Exchange of Chinese and Thai Currencies in 2001.
7. Agreement on the Establishment of Joint Committee on Trade, Investment and Economic Cooperation in October 2003.
8. MOU on the Promotion of Trade, Investment and Economic Cooperation in October 2003.
9. MOU on Cooperation in Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures between the General Administration of Quality Supervision,Inspection and Quarantine of the P.R.China and the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives of Thailand in April 2004.
