Chinese Vice Premier Wang Qishan left Beijing Saturday morning for Tokyo to attend the second China-Japan high-level economic dialogue, scheduled for June 7.

Wang and Japanese Foreign Minister Hirofumi Nakasone will co-chair the dialogue. Senior officials of the two countries' relevant departments will attend the dialogue.

The two sides would discuss a wide range of topics including energy conservation, environmental protection, finance, agriculture, trade and investment, intellectual property, information and communication, as well as disaster prevention and relief, according to Chinese Commerce Minister Chen Deming.

The dialogue mechanism was jointly launched by Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao and then Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe during Wen's trip to Japan in April 2007.
