Hong Hao, director of the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination, yesterday met with Spanish Expo experts Francisco Javier De Bocos and Juan Cruz Correas Sanchez to talk about the preparations for the event in 2010.
Hong welcomed the visiting experts. He said Expo 2010 is the first exposition held in a developing country, which means Shanghai needs to learn a lot when preparing for the event.
Hong said the two experts were recommended by Vicente Loscertales, the secretary general of International Expositions Bureau. Shanghai welcomes any suggestions and instruction from them. He said he hopes the experts can fully exchange their ideas and communicate with the Expo organisers.
The experts talked about Expo operation with the director. They said the Expo is a huge project and will have a different focus at its different phases of preparation.
The Spanish experts also said they will try their best to find ways to solve the problems organisers have met.
