In order to promote the stable development and cooperation of China overseas investment, with the approval of the National Development and Reform Commission and the endorsement of the relevant ministries and commissions of State Council of P.R. China, the first China Overseas Investment Fair hosted by China Industrial Overseas Development & Planning Association will convene in China World Trade Center, Beijing on November 3-4, 2009. By then, Chinese government officials, foreign government officials, international industrial and commercial leaders and well-known economists will be invited to attend.
This Fair is the first authoritative and professional exhibition held regarding China overseas investment cooperation. Under the endorsement and direction of National Development and Reform Commission, the host will widely invite government investment promoting agencies from home and abroad; international and regional economic organizations; foreign associations and chambers of commerce; Fortune 500; eminent financial institutions; service agencies such as accounting and law firms; China large scale state-owned and private enterprises, capable small and medium-sized enterprises, governmental agencies, associations and chambers of commerce, investment service agencies to attend this fair, and establish a professional, authoritative and effective interactive platform for overseas investment cooperation between China and countries all over the world.

Introduction of Host
China Industrial Overseas Development & Planning Association is the Host of this fair which is under supervision of the National Development and Reform Commission of People’s Republic of China. The main functions include: implementing government overseas investment and industry development policy, guiding overseas investment activities; providing policy, legislation and significant reform suggestions in overseas investment field to government relevant department and assisting instructional and supervised work; recommending overseas investment projects to all kinds of investment subjects, introducing cooperation partners, widening investment channels; carrying out research of overseas investment theory, market investigation and experience communication; devoting to creating a good overseas investment condition and promoting to the healthy development of all kinds of Chinese investment subjects abroad. The honorary president is Mr. Zeng Peiyan, former vice-premier of State Council, and the president is Mr. Gan Ziyu, former chairman of the executive deputy director of National Planning Commission.
